We are deeply saddened by the passing of Pastors Bill and Esther Ilnisky, dear friends and partners of Intercessory Prayer Ministry International (IPMI). The couple passed on March 1, fifteen minutes apart at the same hospital in their home state of Florida after contracting COVID-19. Bill was 88 and Esther was 92. Longtime Assemblies of God pastors and ministry leaders, they were missionaries to Jamaica and Lebanon before serving for many years as pastors of the Lighthouse Christian Center (formerly Calvary Temple Assembly of God) in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Since the inception of IPMI in 1996, Esther served the organization at various times, as Advisor, Conference Speaker, Teacher, Mentor, and Coordinator of the Monthly Global Prayer Calls (MGPT), she helped to establish and coordinate right up until the time of her death. At the time of the establishment of the program in 2009, she was careful to note that "Involvement in the IPMI MGPT holds a high priorty in my life and ministry. It is a strategic one hour of effectual prayer with the potential to change the world." Many of the facilitators of these powerful times of prayer hosted on first Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, from various nations around the world, who knew Esther very well and benefited from her enormous love, wealth of experience, wisdom and passionate prayer all shared their griefs at the news of her sudden passing.
A pioneer and veteran in the global prayer movement for over fifty years with a heart and a passion for revival, ESTHER was the founder of the Esther Network International Children’s Global Prayer Movement and author of Let the Children Pray. Her vision was to mobilize children worldwide to pray for revival in their generation. Pastor William (Bill) Ilnisky, for many years produced the popular Daily Devotion which is published on IPMI'S website. The church has lost two truly great warriors, who ran well the race that God had set before them.
Pastors Bill and Esther Ilnisky have made an indelible mark on our lives here at IPMI and will long be remembered. They have left behind a great legacy that will remain for posterity and us, huge indelible footprints on the sands of time.
