The Blessed Hope

TITUS 2:11-14
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope-the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
These verses describe the character and purpose of God's saving grace. According to Paul, saving grace
(1) instructs believers to decisively reject the ungodly passions, pleasures, and values of the present age.
(2) commands and empowers believers to live "upright and godly lives," while waiting expectantly for the blessed hope and appearing of Jesus Christ. The "blessed hope" for which every Christian should long for is the glorious appearing of our great God and Savior, "Jesus Christ" and our union with Him for eternity. This hope is capable of being realized at any time. Christians should never surrender their prayerful hope that perhaps today the trumpet will sound and the Lord will return. Jesus shed His blood on the cross to redeem us from all wickedness and the desire to defy God's law and holy standards and to make us a Holy People.
MY LIFE APPLICATION
Anticipate Jesus' coming at any time to maintain your hope in God that the enemy tries to steal from you in these difficult times. The Bible is filled with anticipations of Jesus' coming!
MY PRAYER AND PRAISE
"Dear Jesus, thank You for the blessed hope of Your return. I want to be ready at all times. Father, I pray for the masses of people who are affected by this coronavirus. I pray that many who are not saved will turn to You. Amen!"
