PSALM 121:7-8
The Lord will keep you from all harm-
he will watch over your life;

Meditation
Family, friends or wealth can never be viewed as our ultimate source of help in this life. That belongs to God, the only source for meeting our needs physically and spiritually. We trust in Him with all our hearts and seek Him for grace to help us "in our time of need." The faithful child of God is always under the Lord's protection, defense and watchful care. Jesus emphasized this truth when He said, "The very hairs of your head are all numbered" (Matt:10:30-31). So don't be afraid.
Verse 8 may be applied both to our Chrisitan lives from spiritual birth until we leave this earth and to our daily physical lives. God preserves us; He is our constant guard. This word is truly reassuring as we live out this current universal 'storm'.
Esther and I have experienced these verses so many times in our living outside of the country. Especially the years in the Middle-East. God is faithful beyond measure.
Life Application
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and life because He loves you and wants to meet all your needs every day no matter what the circumstances.
Praise/Prayer
"Oh God, how wonderful to be Your child. You have not given me a spirit of fear; You give me a sound mind regardless of earthly conditions. One day You will be calling all Your children home. I look forward to that gathering. Amen!"
