Emeka Nwankpa, Esq.Emeka Nwankpa, Esq.On the 14th of October, 1973, Emeka committed his life to Jesus Christ during a morning service held at the Protestant Chapel at the University of Ife. A young lady had spoken to him about the faith just two days prior, and her words had been weighing heavily on his mind. Eventually, Emeka apprehended a powerful conviction that led him to give his life to the Lord. He received a clear calling from God in November 1973, and he was later ordained for the ministry by Pastor S.G. Elton in 1981 after being discipled by him for several years.

After obtaining his law degree from the University of Ife (now Obafemi Awolowo University) in 1977 and the Nigeria Law School, Lagos, in 1979, Emeka started a thriving legal practice and made several appearances before the Nigeria Supreme Court. He became the coordinating secretary for the Christian Students Social Movement (CSSM) from 1977 to 1981. Eventually, he left his legal practice to answer the Lord’s call to full-time ministry years later. In the early 1990s, he helped establish Intercessors for Nigeria (IFN), a national network of intercessors who pray for the nation and its leaders. Emeka also helped establish Intercessors for Africa (IFA), working alongside other Christians across the continent and became the coordinator. The main objective of (IFA) is intercession for the establishment of God’s purpose in Africa and facilitating unity among God's people in fulfilling the primary task of reaching the world with the message of the Gospel and making disciples of all nations.

In 1997, while attending an Africa Prayer Convocation in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Emeka was called to establish the Sundoulos African Leadership Training (SALT) Program. This program aims to train servant leaders who can apply biblical principles to government and all levels of public life.

In addition to his involvement in the leadership of the prayer movement in Nigeria and across Africa over the past 40 years, Emeka has been actively involved in the Global Prayer Movement, working with the International Fellowship of Intercessors and the International Christian Chamber of Commerce (ICC), where he serves as an advisor.

He is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of IFN and IFA. He is also the Chairman of the Sundoulos African Leadership Training Program. and Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Pastors/Ministers Prayer Network. Additionally, he chairs the Academic Board of the Africa Pastors and Ministers Prayer Network.  Prior to his current role as chairman of these various organizations, Emeka was Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council at Abia State University. He also served on the Committee of Pro-Chancellors of Nigerian Universities and chaired the Federal Competition & Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.

Emeka has authored several books, including “Introducing Jesus Christ”, "Redeeming the Land - Interceding for Nations," "The Lord is a Man of War - A Manual for Spiritual Warfare," and "Idolatry - Principles, Problems, and Panacea." He is an Alumnus of the Advanced Leadership Training Course of the Haggai Institute, Singapore.

Emeka is married to Bade Nwankpa, a retired pharmacist, and they have three adult children and several grandchildren. He is fluent in Hausa, Igbo, Yoruba, and English.
