Some members of IPMI Leadership Team

About 20 years ago, a small group of Jamaican Christians from New York City, Long Island, and New Jersey gathered together in the living room of a home in Brooklyn, with a simple desire to pray for revival in their homeland.  Quite a lot has happened since then to transform Intercessory Prayer Ministry International (IPMI) from this small group of Christians with a burning passion for a revival in their homeland to a global entity embracing a diverse multicultural vision for all nations, where prayer and fasting have become its main selling point.

IPMI's evolution into a global entity, particularly over the past decade or so,  has been quite encouraging when one takes into account the growth and development of such programs as the Jamaica Diaspora Day of Prayer and Fasting that mobilizes thousands of Jamaicans throughout the Diaspora in the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States, annually, to fast and pray for revival in the homeland around the August 1 Jamaican Emancipation holiday, and to support a few local charities; the Annual Schools of Prayer that has been helping churches to develop vibrant prayer ministries; the Annual Pastors and Leaders' Prayer Symposium that attracts pastors from various denominations across the tri-state; and the Monthly Global Prayer Teleconference (MGPT)  that brings together Christians from around the world for an hour of powerful intercession for the nations, monthly, on first Thursdays at 9:00 PM EST,  and Fridays, 4 PM, and Saturdays, 9:00 AM EDT (8:00 EST) following first Thursdays.

We believe that the growth of IPMI,  over these years, has been due largely to the response of the ministry's leadership to opportunities the Lord has made available to us, in keeping with the ministry's vision of facilitating united prayer among Christians for a much-needed revival for the transformation of families, communities, cities, and nations; a strong commitment to a set of core values based on collaboration, excellence in ministry and integrity anchored on the principles of the Scriptures; and the great support that the organization has received from faithful partners.

In keeping with our hope of becoming an attractive choice for those individuals and churches in the United States and around the world that will be seeking to bring spiritual transformation to their respective communities through engagement in prayer and fasting, while remaining responsive, as well, to the continued demand for the unique mix of programs that IPMI offers, we plan to utilize to the utmost, our unique strategic location as one of the leading global prayer ministries in New York City, where the organization has already established partnerships with other Christian organizations and agencies that serve the diverse Christian communities across the various boroughs, to achieve important significant growth over the next ten years through the expansion of a few programs.

Two key programs that have been earmarked for further development and expansion, under our recently developed ten-year strategic plan are the Annual Schools of Prayer and the Monthly Global Prayer Teleconference.  Under this plan of expansion,  over the next five to ten years, we believe that IPMI will be able to extend the Schools of Prayer to at least one hundred new congregations, while mobilizing an army of more than 3,000 intercessors worldwide to pray for revival through the Monthly Global Prayer Teleconference,  based on a 24 hour schedule centered around the first Thursday, first Friday and first Saturday of each month.   But without increasing IPMI's operational capacity through the hiring of suitably qualified staff, such expansion will not be feasible.

It is based on this need for increased operational capacity in support of this new ten-year strategic plan that the leadership of IPMI has launched a major funding campaign, with the goal of increasing IPMI's gross annual revenues by at least $200,000 over the next two years.

Help IPMI during 2016 to move to this next critical step towards achieving its global mission of impacting lives and transforming nations through the important work of intercession.  Join us as a partner in support of this important funding campaign by committing to donate $25 or more monthly to IPMI.   Click here now to donate online to the Funding Campaign.

We look forward to your continued support during 2016.

Sincerely,

Newton Gabbidon
