My Refuge and Fortress

PSALM 91:1-2
Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, "He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust."

Meditation
This passage offers security for God's children, i.e., those who commit themselves to the will and protection of the Almighty and daily seek to dwell in His presence. The more fully we abide in Christ and His word, making Him our life and our dwelling place, the fuller will be our peace and the greater our deliverance in times of danger.
The FOUR NAMES for GOD in this Psalm describe different aspects of His protection.
(1st) "Most High" shows Him to be greater than any threat we face.
(2nd) "Almighty" emphasizes His power to confront and destroy every enemy.
(3rd) "The Lord" assures us that His presence is always with us.
(4th) "My God" expresses the truth that God has chosen to associate intimately with those who trust in Him.
Life Application:
If you have made God your refuge and fortress now is a time to abide in Him as never before! Call upon Him and live a life full of His GLORY AND JOY.

"Hallelujah! Thank You, my Heavenly Father!
Thank You for Your promise to Your children everywhere that You are our refuge and fortress. I trust You to continue being all we need during these challenging times. Amen!"
