Rev. Jim Cymbala, Senior Pastor, Brooklyn Tabernacle

Pastor Cymbala and his wife Carol, who directs the popular Grammy Award winning Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, have been used by the Lord to not only preach the Gospel in the inner city of New York, but also to see new churches grow out of their congregation in various parts of the city along with extensions of God’s Kingdom in other parts of the world. Most prominent in this ongoing revival and expansion process has been the Tuesday Night Prayer Service attended by close to two thousand people and the All Night Prayer Ministry which continues to bring people’s needs to the Throne of Grace.

Rev. Dr. Joel Edwards, President Micah Challenge International United Kingdom

Rev Dr Joel Edwards is the International Director for Micah Challenge. Joel has had a long history with the campaign since its inception in 2000. He was part of the team that created the Challenge campaign partnership between Micah Network and the World Evangelical Alliance, and was instrumental in forming the Micah Call. Joel was also co-Chair of Micah Challenge from 2004-2007. Joel is committed to harmonise matters of faith, justice and equality in the public square, and to advocate on behalf of the world’s poor. Joel continues to hold a number of other roles, including serving as an Advisory Member of Tony Blair’s Faith Foundation, and was formerly a Commissioner on the Equality and Human Rights Commission for the UK. A regular broadcaster with the BBC and other UK and international media channels, Joel is often asked to bring a Christian perspective to current issues. He is an Honorary Canon of St Paul’s Cathedral, London, and has an honorary doctorate from St Andrews University, Scotland. He is married to Carol and they have two adult children. Prior to his role within Micah Challenge, Joel was General Director of the Evangelical Alliance UK, a post he held for over 10 years. Joel was appointed an honorary IPMI board member in 2008.

Dr. David D. Ireland, a once-dedicated atheist engineer turned evangelical pastor, is senior pastor of the 5,000-member Christ Church in Montclair, New Jersey, which he began in 1986 with six people. He is a prolific author, revered teacher, international lecturer and is heard nationwide on his daily radio and weekly television show, IMPACT with David Ireland, which reaches over 50 million households nationwide.

The ministry reaches more than 6,200 churches from diverse denominational, ethnic and language groups.
